I've been called many things...."Brickhouse", "Mighty Mouse,", “Boss”, “Coach”...but to most I’m just Jen. Growing up my love for movement started at the age of 2 ½ with my first gymnastics class. That continued on as a competitive gymnast for 15 years and transitioned from student to “Coach” where I instructed gymnastics, cheerleading, and tumbling for 9 years. My professional education started by completing my B.S. in Exercise Science from Florida State University and my massage therapy license from CORE Institute. I have now been working as a Health and Fitness professional for 10 years.
From coaching little gymnasts, to working with adults to improve their fitness, seeing an individual complete a goal is one of the most satisfying things about what I do. The look of surprise and elation in someone’s face when they realize that “I did it!”; whether it be a cartwheel or running for the first time in a year, nothing tells me more that I am meant to be doing what I am doing.
When not leading group workouts or coaching individuals I am usually working on my own fitness goals, striving to be always better, all the time. Some of my greatest personal fitness accomplishments include multiple Marathons, Tough Mudders, Century Rides and Ironman Triathlon.
On the home front, my life revolves around “Gunny”…my husband and best friend Jon and our two furry kids Sadie and Krieger.
