With more than 30 years in the HEALTH and FITNESS Profession and going STRONG! ...actually, STRONGER than EVER and LOVIN' every single minute of it!!! Growing up as a competitive gymnast, dancer, cheerleader and member of the FSU Golden Girl Dance TEAM...with a BS Degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University, she went on to further pursue her education as a health and fitness professional in receiving her license as a Massage Therapist. Alexis is proud to be a member of the first graduating class of CORE Institute of Massage Therapy in Tallahassee, FL.
Alexis’ passion is to help others feel good about them, both inside and out. She’s been in this business for many years, and every day brings new experiences and new challenges. Alexis feels very lucky to absolutely love what she does, coaching others towards being their BEST! Working with recreational as well as competitive athletes, of all ages, helping them reach their goals, be it health and fitness, nutritional or gaining the competitive edge, ALL is truly rewarding for her.
Reaching out to the Tallahassee community and beyond, Alexis has enjoyed volunteering many hours through organizing and/or participating in health fairs, SUPERCLASSES, Fit Kids fitness programs and MORE for the following organizations - Muscular Dystrophy Association, Children's Home Society, Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend, National Multiple Sclerosis Society and ALS Association. She has also served as a Leon County School volunteer - mentoring at Riley and Oak Ridge Elementary Schools. Currently, Alexis loves being a Big Sis to her little brother through Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend.
On top of what she does day in and day out, Alexis’ pride and joy is her 24-year old son Carlos, a graduate of Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA where he was a starting forward for the men's soccer team. Perfectly complimenting her professional life and gift of being a mother is her partner-in-action, best friend, and husband, Steve, who has introduced her to new challenges. Together, Alexis and Steve have conquered four Tough Mudders, a Spartan Super Race, two 100-mile Ride for Hope Century rides and we've now completed three - 100 Mile Ride for Hope Century rides, still with more adventure races to come. Steve, a 2009 IRONMAN finisher, continues to inspire her through his commitment to being in the BEST shape of his Life!
